Xiaomi is not a new name in the smartphone industry. It has been a huge hit in the market and has dominated the market at the time of its launch. Now the company is taking new steps to reach out the hearts of smartphone users right away with its new release Xiaomi Mi5. The phone was released a few months back.

Leaked news on Xiaomi’s upcoming release, named Xiaomi Mi5C, code named “Meri,” says that the launch will take place soon. This is a full metal smartphone. Resemblance to Mi 5 can be seen in the leaked images. AnTuTu as well as Geekbench has given us details of this latest Xiaomi version. The images of this smartphone too were unveiled in these websites. As per Geekbench, the Xiaomi Meri phone will be equipped with a 3GB RAM. It will be running on Android Version 6.0, Marshmallow. This will be a four Cortex-A53 of 2.2 GHz plus another four that will not go beyond 1.4 GHz. The smartphone’s chipset is not described.

On a multi core test, Xiaomi Meri scored 3105 and 3043 and on a single core test, it scored 758. AnTuTu gives much more detailed information about the phone. On the display size, the website shares the size of 5.2 inches to 5.5 inches and the phone will be having a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920.

The smartphone will be running on Mali-T864 GPU. Internal storage space of the phone will be 64 GB. As per the leaked image, the phone owns a very sleek design. It has a rectangular home button right at the front. It is assumed that this home button will be the space for finger print scanning. It is expected that further details will be provided by the company by the end of this month. The price will be under Rs 25,000 for 4GB + 64 GB phone and Rs 20,000 for 3GB + 64 GB phone.
